    Square Footage-25,000

Enzon Pharmaceutical is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development and commercialization of therapeutics to treat life-threatening diseases. This project posed a unique challenge because DDB was required to install a specialized pile (Dewi-Dag Mini Piles) inside an occupied lab facility. The work was necessary because a rooftop steel structure was needed to support additional mechanical equipment, while at the same time Enzon was in the process of having a new product certified and approved.  We were able to get the job done as quickly and with minimal disturbance by working three eight-hour shifts.

This leading New Jersey law firm, with offices in Cherry Hill, NJ, Egg Harbor, NJ, Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE, added a new location in Hamilton, New Jersey.  The office was located in the 100-year-old American Standard Old Historical Foundry, where bathroom fixtures had once been manufactured. In keeping with the uniqueness of the setting, the ceilings were designed to expose antique skylights once used for ventilation, allowing natural daylight in. Most of the original brick work and kiln was left exposed to create an eye-catching contrast between old and new.

The Gateway Lobby, one of Newark’s premier office buildings, needed a fresh new look. We upgraded the entire lobby with a new design that incorporated millwork cherry wood panels and arched metal ceiling panels. One thing that didn’t change: the heavy daily traffic. The entire 4-month project was completed with minimal disturbance and disruption to tenants. We were even able to keep the escalators in operation and the lobby accessible at all times during this extensive renovation.
